Rainstorm and Typhoon Warning Signals hoisted
BEFORE/DURING the start of a session

Amber Rainstorm / Typhoon No. 1
Hoisted BEFORE the start of a session
Kindergarten and Nursery classes will continue as normal unless Education Bureau (EDB) announces "all kindergartens closed".
Hoisted DURING the session time
Kindergarten and Nursery classes will continue as normal

Red or Black Rainstorm
Hoisted BEFORE the start of a session
Kindergarten and Nursery classes will close for the sessions (morning or afternoon).

If the warning is still in place at 11:00am, the afternoon session will be cancelled and the School will remain closed all day.

If the warning is lowered before 11:00am, the afternoon session will proceed as usual and the school bus will operate (unless EDB announces "all kindergarten closed").
Hoisted DURING the session time
Classes will continue until the end of the session; children may be released to the parents or designated adult. The pick-up procedures are stated below.

If the school bus can be arranged when the relevant signals are lowered, they should run as scheduled. If not, the kindergarten will advise parents to collect their children from the School.

Typhoon No.3
to No. 8
Hoisted BEFORE the start of a session
The School will close for morning and afternoon sessions.

If the signal is still in place at 11:00am, the afternoon session will be cancelled and the School will remain closed all day.

If the signal is lowered to T1 before 11:00am, the afternoon session will proceed as usual and the school bus will operate (unless EDB announces "all kindergartens closed").
Hoisted DURING the session time
Children may stay at the School and the school bus will run as scheduled.

Parents are required to collect their children at the end of the session and should inform the School of their intention if they cannot come on time. The pick-up procedures are stated below.
According to the “extreme condition” policy issued by the Government, students are advised to stay in the place they are currently in or in safe places when a warning is announced by the Government. When the warning is in force, parents should stay alert to further EDB’s announcements.

Pick-up Procedures

When a parent collects his/her child from the classroom, the class teacher will note down the name and telephone number of the parent or designated adult so that further contact can be made when necessary. The Emergency Release Registry would be carefully kept by the class teacher to ensure a clear record at the school. Parents should understand that it will take a moment (about 15 ~ 20 minutes) for the processing.

Contingency Plan

The School will take care of those children who come to the school despite of cyclone signal until the end of class session time, so that their parents can receive them. The School will have staff appropriately to handle this contingency, but there will be no class.
